The comic tension between your characters is really well crafted and, although it is a new clich, it does fizz and spark over the screen and is often hilarious and consistently a delight towards the ears. With such superficial energy it would easy to ignore that it is interesting underneath this; specifically I liked the type of Tracy and just how that parts of your film show her personality being stripped back as she especially learns something about how she results in, softening her character slightly in later scenes. However to suggest that has great depths will be to give it more compliment than it deserves, because it doesn't run deep but it isn't a great theatre. Likewise the romance is not a main part of it however it does still work as it is all delivered at a really fresh and funny pace so it draws you in, even to the factor where I gratefully approved the film's conclusion with a smile rather than sneer. The cast are any delight, but then that basically goes without saying, and they work together with the dialogue like a surgeon utilizes a scalpel. 12:13 pm	The Philadelphia Story Great Movie of 1940 Because I've said before, comedy is a difficult topic that will put on film; one person's hilarity could as easily be banality regarding another. I'm not qualified to suggest why that's so, but I do understand this: most people respond to help witty words and two bottle entendre. And this film possesses both, in spades (along with was awarded the Oscar regarding Best Screenplay) fine films of all times. Add to that abdominal muscles capable and radiant Katherine Hepburn - among Hollywood's true greats - Cary Scholarhip, James Stewart and Ruth Hussy, you can then rest assured of a slick generation, fine acting (Jimmy Stewart obtained Best Actor Award) and also a very pleasurable 112 a matter of minutes. On her wedding morning, she's furious that the woman ex-husband, Dexter Haven (Cary Grant) has resulted in, with a couple connected with (maybe) low-life reporters through Spy magazine, to spoil her wedding to her very protected, very dull and extremely dreary new husband-to-be, George Kittredge (Sara Howard). How that plays out and about, and how Tracey find herself and real love by the end in the movie, is a sheer satisfaction: the dialog is speedy, witty, loud and complex - so it's important to listen carefully all plenty of time. Although, watch for some from the sight gags by Jimmy Stewart plus his facial expressions; no wonder he gotten the Oscar (and for the comedy too!). But, the concentration is worth every penny and, fortunately, there are quieter times whereby you, and the actors, can catch their feelings and breath. At times, the whole production contains a sense of a Uk farce, the type that those Brits are delicious at.
